Inspection and testing are essential to ensure welded product complying with project specification and code requirements. The international welding quality management standard, ISO 3834 also has specific requirements for the execution of inspection and testing activities as well as quality record control requirements to record, document and retain the quality records. Inspection and test plan is a commonly and widely used by fabricators to plan and monitor the execution of inspection and testing activities and record the summary results of inspection and testing for achieving compliance of ISO 3834 requirements.
In view of the importance and wide application of inspection and testing in ensuring the quality of welded products, CWI Services produced the first video compiling the actions of inspection and testing activities for welding fabrication. The videos and photos used in the video were collected by CWI Services throughout the years.
The video aims present the actions of execution for welding fabrication inspection and testing and provide the concept in planning inspection and testing. This video also can be used for education purpose to ensure inspection and testing can be planned and executed to compliance with the quality requirements of project specification and codes e.g construction code and quality management system (ISO 3834).
